Dear Renault Classic fans,
I hope you will enjoy reading through this latest Newsletter, which is packed with news on past events and those yet to
come - though perhaps the most important information is on the last page!
There you will find the poster for the first Renault Festival, which will be held at the Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome on 22nd
and 23rd September 2012.
This event aspires to become Renault's 'Woodstock', bringing together all fans of the brand whatever their passion: classic,
modern or popular cars, premium range vehicles, family cars, sporty models, tractors, racing vehicles, mass-produced
vehicles, one-off models, etc.
It's not just Renault Classic - the whole of Renault is working on putting together a great international event (it will be held in
successive European regions over the next few years) which will give us an opportunity to interact and share our passion
for the brand.
Work is already underway within Renault to make this festival a great success, but most importantly, the event belongs to
you; it will be what you make of it, as we want both clubs and enthusiasts to become heavily involved in the activities and
festivities that will be taking place. Anyone who wishes to showcase a particular model, anniversary, activity, story or place
will be most welcome! Our role is to put in place the appropriate infrastructures, environment and media coverage.

Bjorn Scheltens schreef: Het hoofdkantoor van Renault / Steve Norman ( marketing directeur)/ Hugh Portron (hoofd Renault Classic) hebben bedacht dat een betere samenwerking tussen de Europese Renault clubs kan leiden tot mooie dingen. Daarom zijn er inmiddels een tweetal vergaderingen georganiseerd, die plaatsvonden in het perscentrum van Renault in Parijs en waarbij de Club Renault Sportives ook vertegenwoordigd was. Uitkomst daarvan is onder andere de organisatie van het aangekondigde grootse Renault Festival, 22 en 23 september 2012 op cicuit Linas-Montlhéry, net onder Parijs. Het idee dat ik aan een aantal voorzitters van collega Renault clubs uit Nederland heb geopperd is om daar een 'gezamenlijk' event van te maken. Details volgen, maar de datum is nu vast bekend gemaakt zodat je tijdig je agenda kunt blocken. Qua afstand is het niet verder dan de gemiddelde Alpine Rallyen ik kan je verzekeren dat een bezoek aan dit circuit (met kombaan) zeer de moeite waard is! Zie bijgaande foto's:
