Auto heeft o.a. geen:
abs, airco, xenon en zij airbags.
Verder is ie 3mm lager, heeft ie een lagere voorspoiler en een andere achterspoiler en Speedline velgen.
Alleen leverbaar in het blauw.

Renault has developed the Clio Renault Sport 2.0 16V special edition in order to satisfy customers looking above all for performance and driving enjoyment, and for amateur rally drivers competing in the Group N category.
Offered only in "Mondial Blue" finish (pictures not yet available), it is equipped with a special rear spoiler above the hatch, and a front bumper with a flexible lower section. The Speedline "Turini" wheels, of a design similar to competition cars, complete the picture.
The suspension system has been developed for maximum efficiency. The front castor angle is increased in order to make the steering more informative and to retain optimum stability in both straight running and cornering, taking into account the higher level of performance. Thanks to the offset of the new wheel rims, the front track is 20mm wider, and the rear track 10mm wider.
The overall ride height is reduced by 3mm thanks to new springs front and rear. With higher spring rates at the front, the suspension provides more responsive behavior. These modifications are complemented by the adoption of tyres with the stiffest structure. Steering response is thus more direct, with a more incisive front suspension. Also to the benefit of efficiency, the flexible lower leaf of the front bumper, and the larger rear hatch-mounted spoiler, provide greater downforce and aerodynamic refinement.
In addition to the work carried out on the suspension and the aerodynamics, the car has been lightened by 80kg, achieved notably by the replacement of the spare wheel by two anti-puncture inflators and the removal of some equipment including the air conditioning, the ABS, the side airbags, the xenon headlamps, the storage beneath the passenger seat and even the carpet covers. The sound deadening treatment has also been adapted, notably with thinner front door windows and the adoption of a tinted windscreen, non damping and non heat-reflective.
Apart from the saving in weight, the ABS has been removed because it is not well adapted to competition use. The braking system has thus been redesigned to adapt it to extreme conditions of use. The braking power is retained but the degree of assistance has been reduced, to make it easier to apply progressive braking while driving to the limit.
The 2.0 16V (F4R) engine delivering 172bhp (124kW) at 6,250rpm and 200Nm at 5,400rpm, and the gearbox, are carried over. Thanks to the reduced weight, acceleration is improved with 14.8sec Œ mile and 27.2sec standing kilometer times, compared with 15.1 and 27.7sec respectively for the standard version.
To go on sale in the early summer of 2002, this special edition of the Clio Renault Sport 2.0 16V should satisfy the most sporting, providing particularly competitive performance in relation to its price.

Voor die paar tienden van seconden sneller zoveel 'standaard' luxe inleveren vind ik persoonlijk wat minder. Geef mij maar de 'gewone' RS

De voorspoiler staat overigens wel mooi, ga binnenkort maar es informeren wat die kost.
Voor welke prijs komt tie eigenlijk in de showroom te staan?

Mooie wagen die special edition, mooie kleur blauw, doet me denken aan de kleur van snelle alpine-tjes 

dit vindt ik nou een auto,echt kicke kleur,echt rijden en ook eens slippend stopkomen
weg met die extra's,extra kosten en extra gewicht het is en blijft toch 80 kg-tjes.
maar wat voor prijsvoordeeel valt er nu ook nog te halen want ik neem nu toch ook aan dat hij goedkoper is dan de luxere versie.
verder prima zet maar voor mijn deur,sleuteltjes op 8c:lol:
