I own a Clio I RSi 1.8 8V.
It has an indicator of the outside temperature, but it's always flashing at '-30º'.
It seemes the sensor isn't working, but i'm not pretty sure. Do you have any idea? :-?
On the other hand, I was told that the functionality of this display can be expanded by adding a chip to the computer that is at the back of the dashboard (the wipe control has a button at the right that aparently switch between all the info).
I was also told that some versions of renault 19 and renault 21 came with the same display/computer.
Do you know something about that?
Thanks for your help.
Well, the temp sensor is mounted inside your nearside mirror.
For upgrading your tempgauge, it is possible, but you also need to add a flow meter to the fueling lines and a different fueltank sensor.
My advice is to take the whole unit from a scrapped R19 with the trip computer, with all the measuring stuff.

Well, I looked at the inside of the mirror, and there is no way (I don't know how ) to open it without breaking the glass.
Somebody also told me that the temp. sensor is at the front bumper.
Is it necessary to get the fuel sensor?
Isn't this info provided by the ECU?
