I think I met a few of you at one of Henk's RR days. I have a Racing Blue R27 (with Madeno Stickers), I think a few of you may also have seen me at Spa on the 20/06/16.
I've joined the forum as I would like to sell my car, so I thought I'd introduce myself first.
Anyway, Ive always loved hot hatches, yes there are faster cars, but being able to drive a car on its limits in the twisty stuff is much more fun than hitting high speeds in a straight line.
So, after I sold my Ph1 RS I purchase this beauty...

I knew I wanted a 197, I knew I wanted the Recaro's and so when I saw this little R27 I knew I had to have it.
Its only had one owner from new, and its had full Renault service history where everything was looked after (Distribution belts, new Brembo calipers, etc)
My first job was to make it handle as well as it should do. I went to Madeno who fitted a full Bilstein Clubsport package with Solid topmounts.
I also had the rear beam shimmed and the car corner weighted. Honestly, the setup is fantastic, the biggest change is the castor that the top-mounts give, the steering has a lot more feel and weight to it now.
I then had a Pure motorsport exhaust fitted, I chose Pure motorsport as their exhaust fitted in exactly the same way that the standard exhaust does in the diffuser, its also not too loud coming under 100DB.

She then went off to Henk to have a remap, the exhaust (second cat removed) gave a horrible flat spot. Here she is having her map..
Then, she was ready... Had a set of Semi slicks fitted to some Clio Cup speedlines

Then... it was off to Spa...

There are a few vids on my youtube channel. It went very well at Spa, handled really well.
So, Why am I selling? I have a Megane RS itch I need to scratch. I'm in no rush to sell, so won't be advertising just yet. But keep an eye out. (OR... I may change my mind and keep this... and stick a Meg engine in her, but I think it would be a shame to ruin another R27.
