Hello, Shane, Mégane

Hello. I know this is a Holland based site but im hoping that some of you speak english if it isnt any bother.

My name is Shane, im part of the staff team on UKs Coupe Owners Club (http://www.coupe-club.co.uk). I own a Renault Megane Coupe 2.0 16v F7R, which has undergone quite alot of work ever since i bought the car 3 years ago. I am a medical student undergoing my degree in the Czech Republic and also based in Wales in the UK. I recently went to the French Car Show in the UK and met up with some pple from Holland (i respect their dedication to travell all the way from there to here). Anyway i am currently stripping my car as i want to change the exterior/interior once again, i am looking for some inspiration so if anyone has any pictures of coupes on this site could you post them up please?

I have been stripping the car myself getting it ready for a respray. The engine is coming out next week so that all the rust is rubbed down and removed. All the arches and underneath the car is being treated (also to get rid of all rust). This car will be a show car from now on and not a road car and will be trailered to all the shows. Hence its going to be spotless As for plans, they will be revealed when the car is finally finished

I recently sold the white alloys hence its back on the standard alloys. Regarding the colour i am stuck between 2 colours in my mind, but i shall reveal this all in good time.

Yes my paint has Aluminium added to it to give it the extra shine, so it sparkles in the sun

Don t you want to fit an F4R Clio III RS engine in youre Megane. I think that would make it an nice sleeper

I did see a whole line of your cars and i did ask Chris (Blue Megane Coupe) where you guys were from, when he told me i was shocked but once again the dedication is great Im not really an engine person but i did inquire about a turbo coversion from DP Engineering (Dutch based) and they gave me a quote of £7000.....abit too much and worthless to be fair. Instead this is my plans with the F7R engine...

Head skimmed, port and polished.
Cams
Manifold
Full system CAT bk exhaust
throttle bodies
induction kit
remap

hopefully with all that there should be an increase in power....but then again i did mention before this is going to be a show not a road car so there wouldnt really be any point in all that work...will think on that one...

No mate this a custom made white with added aluminium to give it that shine...

The only reason i did the car white was because the fact Renault didnt make them in white (should of really). I was told i was the 1st one in the UK to have a white Megane Coupe but since i have seen 3 more sprayed up.

Im glad you think the same as me. I hate all these cars with big bodykits, spoilers etc. Subtle modifications is the best in my opinion
