Change 3 lug hubs to 5 lug hubs on the R-5

Greetings Dutch Renault R-5 Friends ...

I have visited your country many times and find that it is my favorite European Country. I am very pleased to ask the Dutch Renault Fans for some help.

I have build a custom "special" type of car using the engine, transmission and front suspension from the Renault R-5. It has the 3 lug wheels.



Now I want to put on some wider, and bigger, alloy wheels. None are available to me with the 3 lug pattern.

I am thinking that you guys much have faced a similar problem and found a way to solve it. Were you able to replace the wheel hubs with different ones? Or, were you able to develop an adaptor plate that allows the use of 5 lug wheels on the 3 lug hubs?

Ik heb uw land vaak bezocht en gevonden dat het mijn favoriet Europees Land is. Ik ben zeer pleased om de Nederlandse Ventilators van Renault voor één of andere hulp te vragen.

Ik heb bouwstijl een douane "speciaal" type van auto die de motor, de transmissie en de vooropschorting van Renault r-5 gebruikt. Het heeft de 3 handvatwielen. Nu wil ik op wat zetten breder, en groter, legeringswielen. Niets is beschikbaar aan me met het 3 handvatpatroon. Ik denk dat u kerels veel een gelijkaardig probleem onder ogen hebt gezien en een manier gevonden om het op te lossen. Kon u de wielhubs met verschillende degenen vervangen? Of waren, u bekwaam om een adapter te ontwikkelen plaat die het gebruik van 5 handvatwielen op de 3 handvathubs toestaat?

Om het even welke hulp dat u me kunt geven is fantastisch!

there are an vieuw guys overhere that went from 3 to 4 joints
best what you van try is go to an partscentre en look wich wheel bearing is the same size as the 5 but from an from an car whit 5 joints
so you can fit the hubs of that car

Hi Sven,

I just thought that maybe tomorrow I will try to find a wheel shop where they can cut apart some 6.5 inch wide 15 inch wheels and put the centers from the 13 inch wheels into them. That might work, but I am not sure what to use for an offset then.

In any case, thank you for your suggstion. I will look into that too.

they have some 15"wheels in 3 log
