Mooi verslag Chris! 'K wou dat ik een GTT had.
It was a very cool weekend, lot of ideas over there for my renault 5.
only the weigh back, the "Gendamerie" maked a picture of me
And the little city's over there (la chatre, chateroux) it was also nice to see.
Is it possible to celebrate next year that the renault 5 gt turbo exists
21 years?
I will show my picture also, when i back from work

Lille would be awesome, or mayb even Dieppe. It has done many times before, but Dieppe is still a special place for Renault sport fanatics

Yes I'm back indeed. Well now there's a link to my gallery I don't have to list all 140 images here. Take this page with it: http://www.doubleyoudigital.nl/gallery/ ... index.html to follow my story.
The first pictures are on the way to France. The Belgian GTT I came across 3 times, at 3 tankstations. They said to be driving 160, I was doing 120/130, but we almost arrived simultaneously at the camping.
Foto 8 until 51 is from the meeting. Chris asked me if I could take a lot of pictures, so he wouldn't have to make a lot. Well, I've seen the first post of this topic, how many would it have been if he didn't ask me that...
Foto 52 until 61 was a midday break at the McDonalds, the tour to it and we found a cabrio R5 there. He later seemed to be one of the meeting-attenders.
Foto 62 until 81 was back at the meeting. I never seen the castle parking, because when I arrived on the field above the hill they just started moving all cars out of the castle terrain. Looking at Chris' pictures not even all cars came to the field, some went away. It was a coming and going all the day, there wasn't one time that all GTT's were present.
Foto 82 was the evening out on saturday, we went eating in a local restaurant.
Foto 83 until 105 was the tour. The original starting time was half past 3, but we started off much earlier with a large group. It turned out half past 3 should be too late, we came back only 5 pm. Foto 91 was for three of us a waiting place, the result of the following: Chris stopped earlier, and our english-french translator
and his friend stopped there too (same with me). Chris asked about a gas station, and went away so we 3 were left. The large group continued as we stopped. Well, we 3 tried to catch the group, and I now know the French style of GTT driving. 160 on 80km roads is normal
man that was fast. We took a shortcut of 5kms of the route, and later we got a call that in that 5km shortcut the complete group was waiting for us... So we stayed on the route and stopped waiting for the large group. That was picture 91. On foto 92 to 95 you see the group arriving, and we continued.
From picture 106 until the last was my tour back. I only took the inner roads, and no highway. I decided to go by Luxembourg.
At first I needed to get some money, so I went into La Chatre. Someway I found myself in a situation like picture 107... an impossible turn to the right... Well, I managed
I drove by a terrible accident of a R19 and an R4... (foto 108) and found there a helping owner of an express pickup (109 110).
The rest are onroute pictures to home. I can tell, Luxembourg driving off-highway is fantastic! Impossible to make a picture of that
I found some interesting Renaults on my way though:
- Old Renault truck (111)
- Renault 30 turbo diesel (124 125)
- Renault 5 (old version) with only 20.000 kms (1200 euro) (130 131)
- Next to it a brand new Renault Megane RS Turbo (130 131 132)
- Renault Rodeo (133 134 135 136). This one and another one ( http://www.kapaza.be/detail/813466/ ) can be bought for 3000 euro, Belgian owner.
- Clio cabrio (144 145)
Well, it was a very good meeting and a nice holiday, only my bank account didn't like it... I couldn't pay the last tank of gas home so I had to take my VISA...
Enjoy the pictures!
