I have a chance to buy R5 GTE for a 400€

So tell me all info i need...

Carb versions, injection - difference?

1721 ccm / 1794 ccm differences... i've heard that there are a lot debates on who made that engine (B17)
and there are a lot of mixes up data on the net...

P.S. - how many R5 GTE's were produced?

Only multipoint injection versions.

I believe the 1721cc motor, delevering about 100 horsepower.

Stong, durable engine. 200.000 is usually not a problem, just take good care of the car. The rest is like an usual gtturbo, that means the rust etc. Options are about the same. 400 euro is not much, if it is a 'nice' car.

GTE is in built up almost the same as the 5 GT Turbo, same suspension as phase 1 GT, except the engine of course, mechanical speedometer and absence of turbometer.

I know only the 1721 cc engine which produces a torque of 140 Nm at 3000 r/min and a maximum power output of 95 Hp at 5250 r/min.
This engine is made by Renault but also used in Volvo's.
