First at all sorry for posting in the dutch section, but here seem to be more specialists...
My question:
Do the "E"-engines and the "K"-engines have same piston distance? IŽm asking because a friend of mine wants to increase the dispalcement of his 1996 Clio 1,4 S (E7J-engine) to 1,6l by using pistons, con-rods, cylinder-liners and crankshaft of the 1,6l 8V (K7M-engine) of a Mégane.
Will this work? Thank you.
"E" and "K" engines
Realy don't no.... sorry....

Well, with a bucket full of money, you can do anything with your engine.
The engine you mentioned has a longer stroke, so basically you need a 1.6 block with a 1.4 head.
But technically the 1.6 already has the 1.4 block, with multipoint injection.
So, in my opinion, you will be better off with a scrapped 1.6 8V block
