renault actually did have some success,with 21T rally cars in the Group N form

unfortunately it does seeem that the 21t came along to late in motorsport,and Renalut took a differnt route, but along the way the 21T did have some great successes

There may have been some attempts at rallying the 21T but i think they are privateer attempts in stead of factory supported cars.
What this means is that no two rally versions are the same so looking for specs will be difficult as it is rarely documented.
The group N service manual is the same as the standard R21's issue.

I am curious if the TQ would have been any good at it on tarmac courses ... what is its exact weight and power distribution?

i have copies of the original specs for the preparation groupN for the 21 turbo issued from the factory in france,plus the original catologue for the parts to change the 21t into the Group N rally set up,

although i do not have a lot of info on rallyig it seems The Diac sponsored most of the cars along with several privateers using the 2wd as the quadra wasnt released untill September 1990.
Does the book you have contain photos of the 21T?
Kerb weight of the 21TQ is 3160lb/1435kg
power distibution 65% front 35% to rear.

I's love to see the docs you have on this gr. N version. I had never seen pics of the 21 Gr. N before and they are most certainly not in my book, although i was under the impression it documented all factory supported rally cars...

In those days all renault rally cars were sponsored by dieppe based Diac, amongst their drivers were Jean Ragnotti Alain Oreille and Philippe Bugalski.
The team drove almost every available rallycar like the 5 Maxi turbo, 11Turbo Gr. A, Clio williams Gr A and Maxi, Maxi Megane.

Our own rally clio is actually painted in the blue with white, red and yellow striping diac colors the maxi meganes used to have.

was echt vet om hem bezig te zien niet normaal man.
Hij kon alleen bijna niet van zijn plaats komen leg een dubbeltje onder zijn band en zijn spoiler raakt de grond wel heel heel vet met zijn turbodruk op 1.4.

I always read Max Power, but most of the times they only show pictures of their Cruise Patrol or small local meetings.
