hi Chris
i will let you know,of any Renault events for next year in the Uk,,there are several planned, dates to be confirmed.We found your site after recieving a message from Hakke,,when your site started talking about the 21t,
Hi Tijn, yes the Europa cup in Belgium is for sale,currnetly its owned by "Prima Racing" in the uk,,and the Uk asking price is around £12,500 GBP,too much for me ,ime £12,000 GBP short,
renault actually did have some success,with 21T rally cars in the Group N form

<!-- BBCode Start --><IMG SRC="http://www.renault21turbo.homestead.com ... _model.jpg"><!-- BBCode End -->
also one of our members uses the car for Hill Climbing
<!-- BBCode Start --><IMG SRC="http://www.pentagon-a.co.uk/MembersSect ... n2000b.jpg"><!-- BBCode End -->
unfortunately it does seeem that the 21t came along to late in motorsport,and Renalut took a differnt route, but along the way the 21T did have some great successes

There may have been some attempts at rallying the 21T but i think they are privateer attempts in stead of factory supported cars.
What this means is that no two rally versions are the same so looking for specs will be difficult as it is rarely documented.
The group N service manual is the same as the standard R21's issue.
I am curious if the TQ would have been any good at it on tarmac courses ... what is its exact weight and power distribution?

hi Tijn,
i have copies of the original specs for the preparation groupN for the 21 turbo issued from the factory in france,plus the original catologue for the parts to change the 21t into the Group N rally set up,
<!-- BBCode Start --><IMG SRC="http://content.communities.msn.co.uk/_S ... oster1.jpg"><!-- BBCode End -->
although i do not have a lot of info on rallyig it seems The Diac sponsored most of the cars along with several privateers using the 2wd as the quadra wasnt released untill September 1990.
Does the book you have contain photos of the 21T?
Kerb weight of the 21TQ is 3160lb/1435kg
power distibution 65% front 35% to rear.
cheers

I's love to see the docs you have on this gr. N version. I had never seen pics of the 21 Gr. N before and they are most certainly not in my book, although i was under the impression it documented all factory supported rally cars...
In those days all renault rally cars were sponsored by dieppe based Diac, amongst their drivers were Jean Ragnotti Alain Oreille and Philippe Bugalski.
The team drove almost every available rallycar like the 5 Maxi turbo, 11Turbo Gr. A, Clio williams Gr A and Maxi, Maxi Megane.
Our own rally clio is actually painted in the blue with white, red and yellow striping diac colors the maxi meganes used to have.

As you go to this address you see a couple pics of my car. Also I try to place a couple here.
For the extremely drop of my R5 I had let make a special suspension (spax). With 14" wheels this was no problem.

Can you please send Renault-tuning.com when there are big/large Renault events in the UK.
I can't find any info about Renault-meetings in the UK, maybe i didn't searched very well.
I always read Max Power, but most of the times they only show pictures of their Cruise Patrol or small local meetings.
I'm thinking about vissitting a Meeting in the UK, ik hope you can give me some info.
Or are all the meetings VW/Vauxhall/Ford?

I hope i can give you some more specific details at the end of this week. Because there must be arranged a lot. The RTC would like to go to the meeting in september, but it will cost some $$$$$. Would you like to go to England Robert? Give me you're opinion please..On 2002-01-27 21:37, Robert dB

Oh Robert, and you should know it's very difficult to make plans (too) fast. There are more people who must decide such things..
But i'm serious thinking about going to England in september. It sounds really great..

i would love to! ofcourse, but i'd prefer a mixed renault meeting like a the frence car day, instead of an only 5gtt club day. Maybe this would count for all the 'not 5 drivers'?
Hope you understand these comments...

But what i heard, september will be an 'Renault' day.. So every type is welcome..But Tino has some email contact withe some guys from the UK. But ik can understan you want to go to the Renault day. This are things we must talk about, and the guys from RTC will discuse some things tomorrow.. But even when it'll cost you some $$$$$, you would like to go Robert?

Chris if you go to England i think i come to. Only if i can get some days off from mij work. See Ya
Nice to hear Edwin! But the trip with the ferry is expensive i heard. Maybe some people must go car-pooling. But we'll discuse that when the plan is ready. But it's nice to hear you guys want tog go!!
That's the spirit!
When ik read Max Power, you can see English styling, and it looks great, it's unbelievable, they're really freaks in England. And Renault is a cult mobil outthere..

Shure!
I'll just plan a cheap summer vacation, then i could go to the UK.
But it also depends on how things are going this year. Ofcourse I would like to leave my foaks place first, just like you Chris.
Lets waite and see who would like to go from the RTC. Driving alone wouldn't be that fun

I don't mind when i'm driving alone.
But you're right Robert. But i think we really should go. I already talked to Martijn and Pieter, and they are also enthousiastic, just like Tino. Shall we from now on starting with saving money? Do you want't to live in the village of Woerden, or somewhere elsa, Bodegraven for example..

nahh, i'm staying in this holl; Woerden.
But yeah, lets spend money, and just do it!!!
(with driving alone i ment, driving TOTALLY alone, without other Reno's surounding me, that wouldn't be fun) - carpouling count be a good option too.
