Maybe the Renault company wants to support this event, 20 years is something to celebrate. But it might be done when the GTT is 25...

Actually, we prefer organize without help of Renault for some reasons.
1/ It could enable to show that we are a serious club
2/ If Renault organize, they will put conditions and rules that I think we can't accept (no tuning, ...)

I can understand that, but I was talking about support from Renault. So not Renault is organizing, but you get some funding or some publicity from Renault. You can always ask Renault, no you got, yes you can get

For funding it makes the prices for the event lower, because to my opinion it's quite a lot...

If Renault has to do that for all car models that get 20 years, that would be hell of a job don't you think? All car models get 20, Renault does not care

20 Years is not something special in no way. The only thing is that it is a nice opportunity to get some enthousiast together. I prefer that Renault itself would keep their heads out of it

I know how Renault works. When they take part in a meeting, they come with beautiful cars, but they want to take control...
I know people from R8 Gordini Club who were very sad because Renault prevented them to do their meeting as they wanted !

So, we are looking for funds with the enterprise who works with the club (insurance and parts dealers), but I'd prefer not to ask something to Renault.

One day, we will work with them, but not for this meeting !

I have read on an other forum it is no problem to come wit other types then Renault 5.

So Ray, you can come with your 21 Turbo, and then drive it to Maroc to sell it there. It's a very populair type there.

Precies! Alleen jammer dat bestuursleden niet mee kunnen, omdat die (volgens mij) verplicht aanwezig moeten zijn op de meetings waar RTC aanwezig is.
