hi all.

I don't speak deutch, i can olny speek english (like i could!)

i present you our super5 gtt who has receive her engine.

it's a 1800 16s of a clio16s.

i had prepare it (all is polished), and it is all new!!!

the car is a ph1, who was not in a good stat. so we decided to get it juste for use on track. this super5 16s will be in "LA CHATRE" on may, comme see her!

i hope it is plug and play, is the gearbox of the 5 ok for the engine or do you need a clio gearbox?

i took the electronic engine of the clio. all the electric of the car is the gtt one. i've done a mix.

it's not complicated, all of you can do it!

since the pics, i've put the electric of the engine, and i hope it will start very fast. next week i wish!

i won't work this W-E, i'll be on winter holiday's at LA PLAGNE! in the french alpes!

my friend florent and me are very happy.

the engine turn very well, no suspect noise at all! but what a sound!!!

the gearbox is a gtt one, there is no need other!

There will be a serious degradation in performance with the JB3 009/014/032 gearbox of the gt turbo. The gearbox ratio's are way too long for this high reving engine. The differential ratio is 13% longer and fifth gear another 8%.

Diff ratio for a 16v JB3 048 is 4.22:1 versus the 3.73:1 from the GT Turbo. Fifth gear from a gtt is 0.76:1 versus Clio 0.89:1 1st to 4th ratio are practically the same but the long diff ratio lowers performance in these gears as well.

Torque (and power) available at the wheels will go down the same value. If you want to extract the best performance you'll have to use the original gearbox. Which isn't a problem if you use an instrument cluster from a Clio 16s.

Bad choice mathing this type of gearbox to a F7P engine...

don't forget that the wheels are steel on 13". it's a little bit shorter than 15".

then, this geerbox is only there for the grinding (Anlaufzeit). once it will be finish, we'll put on a megane16s geerbox. i think it will be better, don't you?

but dont forget that the car is very very light, and it will be easy for the engine to "tow" the car...

yesterday, i start driving the car. i'm very happy cos' t'here is no trouble.

all is very clean. but it's hard to don't go away from 2000 rpm!!!

there is much noise in the car, because she's empty!!!

she has done her 50 first km very well. exepte the 2 last with few gazolin.

for this moment, i use the gtt one. the clio one is in the fuel tank!

but soon i'll put a 21turbo one!

next part is for the paintjob!!! we're cruising is for doing 1500 km. after, we'll start the paint. it will be a great moment i think. on regard of the work must be doing!

the car has 200 kms. and she take 3.500 rpm! it's not there that the engine is very strong, but we're feeling that she'll have the "fire".

hi,

today we've ride and ride and ride again. so, the engine take now 5.000 rpm. and what a punch!!! past 3.500 rpm, the car "jump" like a turbo one!!!

it's very fun, but when the power starts, it's time for us to cut the gaz

i think this week-end, the engine will take 6.000 rpm. we'll see how it is.

a word about the gearbox. in 3rd gear, at 80 km/h, the car restart very well! there is not many stroke, but the 13" wheels help it very much i think.

why don`t you build a diesel gearbox under the 5 if you do that use the gearbox of a clio diesel i don`t know if it fits but you can try it then the car don`t use a lot of gas in low rpm

the diesel gearbox are generaly more longer. exepte the JB1, but they are not very strong.

on benzen, they is juste the clio 16s one how is very short!
